1/32 Oberursel U.I

The Oberursel U.I engine is a historically significant rotary aircraft engine that powered many German fighter aircraft in the early part of World War I  Developed by Oberursel in Germany, the U.I is a nine-cylinder air-cooled rotary engine known for its durability, power, and unique engineering design. With a displacement of around 16 liters and delivering roughly 80 horsepower, the Oberursel U.I powered some of the era’s most iconic fighter planes, including the Fokker Eindecker series.

What sets the U.I apart is its rotary construction, where the entire engine and cylinders rotate with the propeller, providing inherent cooling and reducing the need for complex cooling systems.
